Thermovent^™ T2 Heat and Moisture Exchanger (HME)

Thermovent T2 is a sterile, single-use heat and moisture exchanger that provides effective humidification for spontaneously breathing patients whose upper airways are bypassed by a tracheal or tracheostomy tube.

These devices are used to:

• Treat adult or pediatric patients with a tidal volume of more than 70 mL
• Reduce heat loss through the bronchopulmonary tree.
• Help to prevent thickened secretions and changes in lung function.
• Supply additional oxygen when required.
• Facilitate the removal of secretions.
• Preserve humidity and minimize damage to tracheal epithelial cells.
